After a period of sanding, testing and prototyping — we now relaunch an updated Anne.
Anne Storage, designed by Anne Krook, is a modular shelving system built on a precise square geometry — now updated with a more contemporary cut and a refined, material-efficient construction.
The collection is inspired by original sketches developed by Anne Krook in 2013.
Scalable
The system can be scaled and combined in almost endless configurations. From wall-mounted compositions to freestanding installations in reception areas, from colour-defined bookcases with doors and drawers to light, open display cabinets.
Welcoming Environment
Anne shapes a workplace that feels both curated and inviting — where storage becomes part of the interior narrative rather than a background function. Adding warmth, clarity and a subtle sense of hospitality to contemporary workspaces.
Anne Krook Story
When Anne Krook arrived at Horreds in the early 1990s to complete her degree project, it marked the beginning of what would become a timeless classic. The result was the Anne shelf (1993) – a storage system that allowed customers to design their own solution, adapting size, colour and function to their needs.
Flexible for home and office
The shelf became an icon for Horreds – a modular system that reflected the era’s growing demand for flexibility, combined with the company’s craftsmanship. The core idea was simple yet ingenious: a square module that could be varied endlessly through different combinations.
Anne Krook
Anne Krook was an industrial designer with a keen sense of proportion and function. Educated at HDK in Gothenburg, she worked for many years designing furniture for both public and private spaces. Her expression was subtle yet smart – with a clear focus on modularity, usability and longevity.
Anne reborn
In celebration of Horreds’ 90th anniversary in 2026, the Anne shelving system has been given new life. The drawings that once rested in a drawer since 2013 were brought forward and carefully refined.
Anne remake 90 Years is a tribute to Anne and her ideas — introduced in new colours, updated millwork details and a customer-friendly digital configurator.
A way to honour Anne’s original vision while carrying it confidently into the future.
